Family, friends and well-wishers are set to pay their last respect to the departed Mrs Bolaji Omotola Ogidan as burial plans begin from Thursday April 18 in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Bee Jay, as she was fondly called by her darling husband, Mr Tunde Ogidan, transited to glory last February 16, 2024.
According to a burial programme released by the family, a Service of Songs will hold at 6pm on Thursday April 18.
The remains of the late Mrs Bolaji Omotola Ogidan (nee Jemiluyi) will be interred on Friday 19th April, 2024 at a private Cemetery, moments after a Funeral Service at the Winners Chapel International, Manchester which is slated for 11am.
The deceased was born on June 12, 1976, and would have been 48 in two months time but for her untimely departure in February.
Below is her biography as released by the family;
The late Mrs Bolaji Omotola Ogidan(nee Jemiluyi) made a great discovery in life. She found purpose for living. On her death bed, hours before death finally came calling, she had said this to her husband: “Darling, do you know what I found out? Life is on a roller coaster”
Throughout her entire lifetime, Bolaji lived a purpose-driven life, which to her, means being content with one’s attainments in this world, being used by God as vessel for humanity and having goodwill towards all men. Her short but eventful life demonstrated passion for others. For her, life must not be devoted to seeking only her own good but also the good of the larger others.
Born on June 12, 1976, the then former Miss Bolaji Omotola Jemiluyi into the Jemiluyi family of Akure in Ondo State, Nigeria, started her early education at Saint Michael Primary School, Akure, obtaining her Primary School Leaving Certificate.
She later went to Saint Louis Grammar School also in the Ondo State Capital, Akure where she obtained her O’ Level Result Certificate.
Having passed out in flying colours, Bolaji gained admission to study Food and Nutrition at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, also in Ondo State, bagging an Ordinary National Diploma(OND) and Higher National Diploma(HND).
After her graduation, Bolaji participated in the compulsory one-year National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) scheme in Owerri, Imo State Capital sometimes around year 2000. Coincidentally, her husband,Tunde Ogidan, had earlier done his NYSC in the same Owerri earlier in 1993.
Upon completion of her national service, she worked briefly in some companies in Lagos State before she travelled out of Nigeria with the man of her heart, Tunde Ogidan.
She did several professional courses in the United Kingdom and worked with the London NHS until she passed on that fateful day, 16th February, 2024.
She is best remembered as a virtuous woman, the best wife a man can wish for, a wonderful mother of children, accommodating, and a God-fearing woman, survived by her husband, Tunde Ogidan and children.
