Notable stakeholder in the Construction Industry, Engr. Abiodun Oludayo Akinnawonu was among 20 distinguished Nigerians conferred with honorary Doctorate degrees at an international conference which rounded off over the weekend tagged LEIC NIGERIA 2025.
Akinnawonu who is the Principal Partner, Staryman Global Synergy Nigeria Ltd, was conferred with the Doctor of Leadership(honoris causa) at a well attended event which held in Abeokuta.
Leading the pack of prominent personalities at the event was former President Olusegun Obasanjo who was the Guest Speaker at the occasion.
Obasanjo spoke on six vital dimensions of leadership part of which includes human capital, security, governance and development-oriented vision.
The event was a two-day Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC), which pooled global leaders from 50 countries of the world.
Venue of the conference was Continental Suites located at the highbrow Ibara area, a few distance away from the Central Bank of Nigeria office, Abeokuta.
The award conferred on Engr. Akinnawonu was by a South Africa-based Institution, Immanuel Theology Education Institute International in affiliation with Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative inc.
The South African institution is headed by the President, Prof. Van Den Berg Edward Alfred while Prof.Olusesi Obateye is the International Coordinator, Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc.
The conference was themed: “Leadership and Followership: The Bonding Factor and The Consequences of Insincerity”.
Engr. Akinnawonu who graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Akure and also from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, where he studied Civil Engineering is proudly a member of many professional bodies.
Among these are Chartered Institute of Contract Projects and Facility Management, International Organization for Project Managers, Nigerian Society of Engineers and Nigerian Society of Engineering Technicians(NISET).
