Unbeknownst to many, the departed Matriarch of the Apostle Lawrence Achudume Family, Rev Fola Achudume had reportedly tasted death in two separate instances some years ago but was brought back to life following divine intervention.
Mama Achudume, wife of the General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume transited to glory on Saturday August 3, 2024.
Already, all is set for the burial events which starts on Wednesday August 21 with Lying-in-state and Night of Tributes, followed by funeral service on Thursday August 22, 2024 at the Life Cathedral headquarters of the church.
Speaking during an interview with Boiling Point, Apostle Achudume narrated series of instances of unique encounters of God’s faithfulness to his wife during her life time.
The excerpts of the interview is captured below:
“I know the woman I married. My wife was a contented woman and a highly committed believer. No sacrifice is too much for her to give. So, I am proud of her even in death, even though, we grieve and mourn presently as humans.
“You need to be there during her last moments. As brethren were praying and interceding for her, there were revelations of angels by her right and left side. The presence of God descended into the room, very tangible presence of God.
“I prayed and prayed. I knelt down beside her bed and said Lord, don’t let my wife go. But, this is the point, ask people who know about it. There have been two previous instances many years ago when my wife fell sick and died. In those two instances, God brought her back to life even after she had been pronounced dead. God’s faithfulness has been real in her life.
“If she died before at two different times, and God faithfully brought her back to life, if it is not her time to go, will God not have brought her back from the dead?
“I can confidently tell everyone that God took my wife because she has finished her race. There’s nothing any of us can do about it.
“I cried unto God not to let her go. But God is the owner of her soul. And He alone decides the right timing of any man’s sojourn in life. The medical team comprising Doctors and nurses did their utmost best. Angels took her away. I can tell you my wife left in the wings of angels.
“And one surprising thing is that all of us in that room during that final moment, none of us could cry because God filled every heart with joy and peace overflowing. Indeed the atmosphere was saturated with the heavy presence of God.
“Even the Doctors confirmed that in their many decades of medical practice, rarely have they seen a person die without struggle. She departed peacefully.
“One thing however I have resolved to do is never to question God’s integrity. He is the Lord, the Most High God, the Only Wise God.
“Our times are in His hand. Therefore, it is a lesson telling us that those of us who remain alive should do all we can to labour to enter into our rest”
