Today, March 13, 2025, at the Odubabakoko Auditorium, a new generation of scholars are being matriculated into the fold of Hillside University of Science and Technology, Oke-Imesi Ekiti. From all indications, for this crop of students.
About one year ago, Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST) welcomed its pioneer students in a historic matriculation ceremony.
The theme, Disruptive Innovation for National Development, sets the stage for a vision of excellence, with Prof. Emmanuel Iyayi Unuabonah, a distinguished scholar, inspiring the students on the power of Innovation in shaping Nigeria’s future.
During that first ceremony, our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Iheanyichukwu Okoro, made a powerful commitment: “We will challenge your intellect, equip you with practical know-how, and nurture your empathy and compassion. Our goal is to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also innovative, creative, and socially responsible.” These words continue to define our mission.
Now, on the occasion of the 2nd Matriculation Ceremony, we celebrate not just another milestone but the steady growth of a university dedicated to excellence. This year’s theme, “Learners to Leaders: Knowledge, Enterprise, and Growth,” reflects our commitment to shaping students into future leaders. With Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola as the guest speaker, we look forward to another inspiring ceremony that will set the tone for the journey ahead.
