Wednesday May 22, 2024 promises to be an exciting day at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where a professor of Food Microbiology and Safety, Prof. Adebukunola Mobolaji Omemu is expected to showcase her research work overtime.
It’s the 90th Inaugural Lecture of the University titled: “Safe Journey of Food From Farm-To-Fork”
The lecture is to hold by 2pm at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building on campus.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde would preside as the Chief Host at the lecture.
Prof. Omemu is currently Dean, College of Food Science and Human Ecology (COLFHEC). She is of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism.
The Lecture promises to unravel the detail and intricate journey of food, from its production in the farm to the final stage of consumption on the table.
The Inaugural Lecturer who is also the immediate past Dean, Student Affairs in the University, would relay her research and experience in the field of Food Microbiology and Safety.
According to a press statement by the University Ceremonial Committee, audience billed to attend the lecture are encouraged to be seated promptly by 1:30 p.m.
