All roads lead to Adigbe Abeokuta, Ogun State capital today Saturday December 14, 2024 as notable media professional and businessman, Mr Tòkunbó Peters celebrates 60th birthday in grand style.
Mr Peters who is currently Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party in Ogun State is more known with being the state Image Maker of the then National Electric Power Authority(NEPA) which later metamorphosed to Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).
Overall, Tokunbo had spent over 33yrs of his working career in the Public Relations Department of the defunct PHCN. He was at various times Head, Public Relations in PHCN Ogun and Oyo states before his retirement from the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company as Head, Corporate Communications in 2014.
Born into the Peters Family of Lafiaji in Lagos Island on the 14th of December, 1964, he had his primary and secondary education in Lagos and graduated from the Lagos State University in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in English language.
After his mandatory National Youth Service, he attended the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos in 1991 where he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations(NIPR).
TP as he’s fondly called is an avid reader and skilled writer. He presently doubles as the Publicity Secretary of the Ogun state Labour Party and the Ogun state Coordinator of the Labour Party Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration.
He’s a Christian of the Catholic Church extraction by religious profession.
