The highlight of the just-concluded 18th International conference of the Nigeria Computer Society held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was the banquet witnessing the presentation of the prestigious Prof. Stella C. Chiemeke’s One Million Naira Prize for Best Research in Doctoral Consortium.
The esteemed award recognizes exceptional research contributions by doctoral students in the field of SmartEco.
After a rigorous evaluation process, the winner of this prize was announced as Michael Edafe, a talented Researcher, and his Supervisor, Prof. Veronica Osubor.
Michael’s research, which demonstrated exceptional innovation, technical rigor, and potential impact on the SmartEco community, impressed the panelists. His work showcased a deep understanding of the subject matter and a commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
As the winner, Michael, the doctorate scholar, and Prof. Osubor, his supervisor, received a cash prize of One Million Naira, a testament to their hard work, dedication, and contribution to the SmartEco community.
The award was presented by the President of Nigeria Computer Society, Dr. Sirajo Muhammad Aliyu FNCS, accompanied by Prof. Adenike Osofisan and Prof. Adebukola Onashoga, Chairman of Conferences Committee, who congratulated the awardees on their achievement.
The recognition marks a significant milestone in Michael’s academic journey and paves the way for future research excellence.
