The International Coordinator of Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc, Prof. Olusesi Michael Obateye has bagged another global recognition following his election as Archbishop Emeritus by a South Africa-based spiritual body.
The proclamation of the honour was under the aegis of the South African Pentecostal Bishops Council headed by its President, Archbishop Emeritus Prof. Alfred Edward Van Den Berg.
Prof. Obateye, who is also Convener, Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC) was considered for the prestigious title
Emeritus of SA
African Diaspora based on his spiritual pedigree and his prowess in canvassing leadership issues around the world.
In a congratulatory letter to Obateye, Prof. Van Den Berg said: “we esteem him highly for this honour and we wish him all the best in his elected office to represent SA Pentecostal Bishops Council wherever the Lord Jesus
Christ Sends him”.
Emeritus Elect Archbishop Obateye is also the Chancellor of Immanuel Theology Education Training
Institute in Africa, as well as President, International Perspectives Leadership Development
Institute around the Globe.
The new Archbishop will be officially consecrated for the office early next year during the international conference tagged LEIC South Africa 2025.
This year alone, Prof Obateye who is currently in Kenya has been superintending over international conferences in South Africa, Uganda, Burundi and the United Kingdom, even as arrangements are already in top gear for an international conference billed to hold in Germany in November, 2024.
