Delivering his homily, the General Overseer, Pastor Frank S.S. Adeyemi admonished Christians to re-establish their faith on the foundation laid by Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Master in order for them to be counted worthy of eternal life.
To Pastor Adeyemi, living a life pleasing unto God Almighty must be the centrepiece and focus of every believer, charging them to do their best to eschew sìn and all disobedient lifestyles capable of attracting the wrath of God.
He quoted copiously from the scriptures in Matthew 16: 13 – 19 where Jesus demanded to know how do men see him to which Peter responded: “thou are the Christ, the Son of Living God”
According to Pastor Adeyemi, a personal revelation of Jesus holds the key to how far a child of God can go in life, without which a Christian’s faith can experience shipwreck on the long run.
Also speaking, the Mother-in-Israel of the Church, Pastor(Mrs) Mary Adeyemi advised
youths to devote their energies to the service of God and to shun vices associated with peer pressures.
Two new parishes of the church to be located along Madojutimi Road off Abiola Way and Idi-Ori in Abeokuta would open soon, according to the church authorities.
