I watched a video of how the deportees from America were sent to various countries in chains on their hands and legs like hardened criminals, i couldn’t hold my tears. My heart bleeds.
Why do we have to be humiliated and treated like criminals, for desiring a better life? In a country where we have so much, yet, we suffer so much.
Different policies here and there to frustrate an average citizen to depression. A country where the rich doing so little gets richer, while the poor doing so much gets poorer.
A country where the less privileged are seriously oppressed by the so-called corporate criminals, because they got so much through dubious means. An average Nigerian is bleeding so much, yet no leader seems to notice the blood.
Our health sector is nothing to write home about. God help you that, you do not get into any State Hospital on emergency, you might not come out alive, except you are well connected. No drugs
No enough bed spaces
No enough staff members. No proper monitoring. No standard care, but very mean and overworked staff members.
If you were admitted into the State Hospitals with an ailment, you can be sure of leaving with five.
Our educational sector is heart-breaking, with teachers destroying students they are supposed to nurture on a daily basis. What did we do wrong?
Without having any sense of entitlement, you need to attend a party organised by dem dem, and you will have to stay strong not to question your Creator.
They make it seem we are unfortunate for being a citizen. If a citizen of this country does not live an intentional life, the chances of commiting suicides will be high.
We struggle to have the cheapest comfort of life.
Citizens of other countries are accorded utmost priority and well taken care of. Meanwhile, the contrary is the case of a nigerian citizen. We are frustrated by all forces and powers that are supposed to protect us.
This is one of the reasons why, we prefer to go to these other countries and live like slaves to enjoy rather than die of hunger and frustration in our own country.
The suffering level here is unbearable. Every thing seems to be biting so hard. When you go to these other countries and work for few years, you prosper within few years, and have some basic things you couldn’t afford in your own country. How shameful!
A line in our national anthem says, ‘we deserve a Nigeria, where no man is oppressed.’ But rather, the rich oppress the poor to depression. Our leadership at every level wine and dine in corruption.
They have failed us.
Can these deportation teach us some lessons?
If only we had good leaders. We wouldn’t have been on these list of shame , torture and ridicule.
Can our leaders for the sake of posterity have some empathy on our children?
There is a huge difference between the responsibilities of humanity and divinity…
Our leaders are not creating any meaningful things, but rather, they are consuming all we have.
Can our leaders take a turn toward doing it right?
Can the future of the less privileged mean something to the leaders, as destinies are truncated on a daily basis?
We are not unfortunate. We only chose the wrong leaders.
My heart bleeds!!!
