Culture and Art Aficionado, Dr. Yemisi Adedoyin Shyllon, is the Guest Lecturer at the 10th Your Image PR TV, Awards and Annual Lecture scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 9th October 2024 at Park Inn Hotel, Abeokuta.
A released signed by the Chief Executive Officer of PR Primus Limited, Mr. Akin Okudero, fnipr said Dr. Shyllon will speak on the topic “The Role of Public Relations in the Promotion of Art, Culture and Tourism.”
It added that 72 year old Dr. Shyllon, a mega arts collector, is the Founder of Omooba Yemisi Adedoyin Shyllon Art Foundation (OYASAF), Grand Donor and Chairman Supervisory Council, Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art, Pan-Atlantic University, with donation of 1,000 artworks.
Dr. Shyllon is an Engineering graduate from the University of Ibadan, Law graduate from the University of Lagos and holds an MBA from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University. The University of Port Harcourt honoured him with Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) amongst several awards and commendations.
A Prince from Sogbulu and Oguntayo lineage of the Laarun ruling house of Ake, Abeokuta, Engr. Shyllon has served meritoriously as Chairman, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation and Ogun State Television, Chairman, Ogun State Investment Corporation and Chairman, Gateway Tourism Corporation that transformed Olumo Rock.
He was one time Marketing Director and Legal Adviser of Nigerite Nigeria Limited.
Engr. Yemisi Shyllon is a philanthropist, humanist and patriot who is widely travelled and had expressed unimpeachable commitment to the development and harnessing of the humongous human and natural resources of Ogun State in particular and Nigeria in general.
Other activities on cue for the decade celebrations of Your Image PR TV, Awards and Lecture include an Empowerment Scheme for indigent students and entrepreneurs to immortalise Professor Lai Oso-Communication Scholar and former Ogun Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, as well as launch of the commemorative magazine for the epochal event and Awards to deserving citizens and organisations.
