The thrills and frills of the ongoing Holy Convocation of the Victory Life Bible Church(VLBC), Abeokuta tagged: This Man Jesus continues to trend but the electrifying effect unleashed on the ancient capital city of Ogun State will undoubtedly continue to reverberate for a long time to come.
The delivery by the parade of anointed God’s Generals drawn from across the world as Guest Ministers at the convention have also been no less awesome with refreshing and inspiring messages from the Throne of God to the congregation.
On Wednesday 10th April when Kaduna-based revelational Preacher and Conference Speaker, Apostle Joshua Selman stormed the Victory Life Cathedral along Ajebo Road, the whole congregation was literally aglow. Time was around 6:42pm and he preached for about an hour and half.
Earlier, Apostle Selman was received on arrival by wife of the General Overseer of VLBC, Rev. Mrs Fola Achudume who led him into the expansive auditorium.
Moments later, the Host, Apostle Lawrence Achudume stepped on the podium to announce him and spoke glowingly about the Guest before bringing him up at 6:58pm.
Firing the salvo, Apostle Selman preached with much eloquence and in the power of the Spirit as he delved into the topic: This Same Jesus
Hear him: “THIS SAME JESUS is not a message for those who don’t know him, it’s for those who want to increase in their knowledge of him. Jesus is not designed to be hidden when you received him.
“Jesus is the word, the Son of God. Jesus is the light of the world. Any man who claims to have a relationship with the father ignoring JESUS is lying.
“Sometimes what we know can hinder us from knowing what we need to know. There’s a standard in the Spirit that God demands that we rise into when it comes to knowledge. “There’s a big difference between purpose and ambition. The assignment of every believer is to eventually be a validator of the victory in Jesus christ. Your life should be a testament that Jesus didn’t fail”.
Apostle Selman also reeled out a number of revelational truths on the person and personality of Jesus, as follows;
Jesus is the Bread of Life.
Jesus is the light of the world (John 8 vs 12)
Jesus is the Door (John 10 vs 7, 9)
Jesus is the Good Shepherd (John 10 vs 11)
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11 vs 25)
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14 vs 6)
Jesus is the true vine (John 15 vs 1, 5)
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega (Rev 1 vs 8, Rev 21 vs 6)
Jesus is the First and the Last (Rev 22 vs 13)
Jesus is He that liveth and was dead but only for 3 days. He is alive forever. (Rev 1 vs 18)
Before the close of his homily, Apostle Selman had this admonition for believers: “You will definitely need all these revelations of Jesus to survive in life. In every phase of your life, you’ll need one of these description of JESUS. You’ll face a challenge that only Jesus by his description can solve.”
