The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) in Ebonyi State, Mrs Foluke Oladeinde, has charged newly mobilized corps members in the state to accept their postings in good fate and not to operate in their own human wisdom.
Mrs Oladeinde gave the admonition at the closing and passing out ceremony of the 2024 Batch A stream One Corps members of Ebonyi state who were discharged from the orientation camp on Wednesday.
The State Coordinator, in her address at the occasion, further told the youth corps members to make every effort to contribute their respective quota to the development of Ebonyi State in particular and the nation at large.
Declaring the exercise closed, Mrs Oladeinde urged them to remain good ambassadors of their families, institutions and also the NYSC, bearing in mind that a lot have been invested in them..
She called on them to shun any act capable of breaching the peace and unity of the nation, but to promote peace, unity , integration and development.
She advised them to hold on to all they were able to learn while in camp, especially the “SAED” programme, amongst all she said.
Mrs Oladeinde used the opportunity to express her heart-felt gratitude to the State Government for numerous support, which have contributed to the overall success of the camping exercise, especially in the areas of augmentation of corps members’ feeding, welfare and security of corps members and staff, the ongoing renovation work at the Orientation Camp, Afikpo.
A total of 1481 Corp Members passed out from the Camp.
