Kunle Onime is a household name in the business of marketing and promotions in Nigeria.
He is no minion in the trade. From humble beginnings in 1999, his rise to stardom particularly with respect to the company, MPC, an acronym for Marketing and Promotions Concepts, which he founded, is proof that legends are not born, they are built through consistency, passion and purpose.
Recently, Mr Onime, who is also Founder/CEO of Roots FM, Abeokuta, was set up for honour at the prestigious Marketing Edge Annual Awards, bagging the Legend of Experiential Marketing in Nigeria Award.

The recognition, for him, carried not just prestige but signposted decades of history, resilience, and pioneering spirit.
The award, for him, symbolized more than an individual honor but represented a lifetime of dedication, creativity, and evolution in Nigeria’s marketing communications landscape.
Since 1999, when MPC was founded, Kunle Onime has been at the forefront of experiential marketing, long before the term became mainstream.
His company grew from a small, passionate team into one of the most respected experiential agencies in Nigeria, known for crafting brand experiences that connect deeply with people.

From the early days of activations in the bustling streets of Lagos, to large-scale brand events and nationwide campaigns that set new industry standards, MPC’s journey mirrors the evolution of marketing itself in Nigeria.
Through economic challenges, technological shifts, and changing consumer behavior, Kunle Onime and his team stayed true to one guiding principle: engagement beyond exposure- experiences that live in people’s hearts.
Under his leadership, MPC has partnered with some of Africa’s biggest brands, delivering campaigns that have not only built brands but also shaped consumer culture.
From iconic product launches and music festivals to purpose-driven campaigns and youth engagement programs, MPC’s footprint is evident across industries.
Receiving the Legend of Experiential Marketing Award is a recognition of those years of persistence and innovation. But in Kunle Onime’s own words: “This award is not just for me. It belongs to everyone who believed in the power of experiences — the clients who trusted us, the brilliant teams who gave their best, and the industry that continues to evolve. My so-called ‘little contribution’ is just a reflection of collective effort and shared passion.”
Over the past two and a half decades, Kunle Onime has mentored countless young professionals, helped define the standards of modern experiential practice in Nigeria, and continuously inspired new thinking in how brands connect with people.
As MPC looks to the future, the story of its evolution remains a testament to vision, adaptability, and belief in the power of creativity.
Today, the industry celebrates not just an award, but a legacy.
